Missing translations and fuzzy messages revision

comment:12 follow-up: Changed 2 years ago by cboos

Thanks, applied in r9351.

However, as I noticed there were 1044 messages on a total of ... 1042, I did a catalog_update -l pl, which cleaned-up a few messages and reintroduced 26 "fuzzy" ones. Can you please check those again?

This should handle some latest fuzzines

Replying to cboos:

Done. Reviewed those fuzzies and translated the new untranslated ones.

comment:14 follow-up: Changed 2 years ago by cboos

As I did another catalog_update after applying the patch and found out that 26 fuzzy were introduced again, I looked closer:

-"Generated-By: Babel 0.9.4\n"
+"Generated-By: Babel 1.0dev-r494\n"

If you're regenerating messages.po yourself using update_catalog (which is good!) then you should stick to the Babel version we're currently using (0.9.4), otherwise some inconsistencies will ensue.

Committed messages.po-pl.2.diff in r9354 and catalog updated once again with Babel 0.9.4 in r9355.

(and if you actually did an extract as well, which I now suspect you did, you should make that clear, so I'll do an extraction first and commit it ;-) )

comment:15 follow-up: Changed 2 years ago by cboos

I did a new extraction and then restored the messages that got suppressed in r9355... still 27 reintroduced by the update_catalog in r9359, which looks like a bug in Babel as they are all for plural messages (nplurals > 2 in trouble?)

Already fixed in [babel 467], which is not in 0.9.4, so we need 0.9.5 (#BL212).

Sorry about that. I should have read the TracL10N page more carefully.

Yes. I did extract_messages too and after that update_catalog. Again, sorry that I didn't state that clearly.

I probably can't help to make that happen, can I? So I'll better wait for Babel 0.9.5 and hopefully do the catalog review right this time :).

It's there!

Catalog update after release of Babel-0.9.5

comment:19 Changed 22 months ago by Janusz Dusza <janusz@…>

New catalog update was made against messages.pot which is in the repository (didn't do the extract_messages magic). There were 16 new msgids and 33 fuzzy ones. I translated / checked all of them then did the catalog_update once more.

comment:20 follow-up: Changed 2 months ago by Jerzy.Ludwichowski@…

messages-js.po is missing from locale/pl in Trac 0.12.2 thus swamping trac.log with WARNnings.
I understand that the strings have not been translated yet, but as the Polish translation is not a complete job anyway then the "canonical" messages-js.po for English would be just fine for the time being.
