Description

I set my email address in the settings page just to test; then trying to remove it, the obvious method of blanking the field and clicking "submit" doesn't seem to do anything

Sorry, I read the description too quickly :-|

I can reproduce the issue.

This is annoying to me as well. Possible workarounds are:

  • If you are using Firefox, you can choose "Tools/Clear Private Data" to clear your cache.
  • Restarting your browser should clean everything up.

Issue confirmed in 0.10.x, but works as expected in 0.11.

Given that the Settings has been completely overhauled in the new Preferences module, it's not practical to backport the fix.
