Description

Users with the correct privileges (there should be a definable project admin user type) should be able to update Components and Milestones via a web interface, perhaps an additional link on the top bar (Administrate) could allow access to this functionality. Changes that break trac could be disallowed (removing existing components and milestones) and renames could be tracked.

Bugzilla has this capability and this would be a good place to look for inspiration. At the minute I need direct access to my server machine to administrate trac. In almost all cases this is simply not feasible or practical.

When trac has the ability to handle multiple projects this administrative capability via the trac web interface will become even more important and useful.
