Description
I'm a female project manager of an open source project, and this thing bugs me. We had an error recently with the database (our fault, not yours). And this was the message. "It is recommended that you inform your local Trac administrator and give him all the information he needs to reproduce the issue.". HIM? Females may also use and administrate a Trac too yaknow.

This should be helpful for future issues: http://www.wikihow.com/Use-Generic-Pronouns
Perhaps the following will work better.
"It is recommended that you notify your local Trac administrator with the information needed to reproduce the issue."

Sorry, no more tickets for 0.11.2.
Please make a patch changing it to that sentence:
"It is recommended that you notify your local Trac administrator with the information needed to reproduce the issue."
Which looks fine by me.
Going through the source:trunk/trac/locale/messages.pot will also give you the opportunity to find at once all the other similar offensive material, if any ;-)

Clearly there should be a trac.ini option for this.
[trac] admin_gender = male|female|undecided|undetermined|other
In all serious though, it seems perfectly reasonable to stick to gender-neutral wording.

I think it was just ticket butchering/testing.

Funny how this ticket attracts stupid comments (all deleted by now). So for anyone tempted to add his own witty comment here, please don't.
On a more on-topic note, I have fixed that issue part of my i18n patch queue, so this is going to be closed soon.

In order to understand this error message, you may want to consider that it was written by a man. Additionally, the man, who wrote it, is not a native English speaker. I'm sure that he was more focused on trying to better inform users of where best to report errors than the gender of the administrator.
Now, if this oversight is truly offensive to you, the Trac devs do accept patches.
