Description
Request to examine the features of CIA. Either for shameless copying or integration/plugin/gateway.
The Trac workflow used by my projects is more of a developer pushing SCM information to trac and syncing with the repository information. CIA is used like Trac in that it pulls information out of the repository, but instead of a passive site you must visit, CIA pushes data as a change comes in. For instance, IRC bots that can sit on a channel and notify on updates (similar to a script used by one of my projects.)
Sourceforge is using CIA.vc for statistics on new Subversion configurations and those Subversion projects which are upgrading to their current URL scheme.
From the CIA website:
This software uses an RCS server (like a subversion repository) to provide IRC bots, logging systems, statistics, to any server has a URI handler registered inside CIA. Intro to CIA.
CIA's protocol is based on a Universal Resource Identifier system. Several nonstandard URI schemes are used to describe destinations such as IRC channels, stats targets, or even XML-RPC methods.
