Pound Sterling Symbol Crashes Trac

Made a ticket comment using a pound sterling symbol (did not place it here in case it re-produces here) and this makes Trac produce an error (attached). I am unable to view the ticket content at all.

You have inserted some invalid content in your database, by the way of the trac-post-commit-hook. You have to fix this by hand (see discussion in #4037).

Then you have to either fix your trac-post-commit-hook --encoding parameter or upgrade to the newer style trac-post-commit-hook, which doesn't trust the log message given to the script but rather fetches it directly from the repository (look in source:branches/0.10-stable/contrib​, as you're using 0.10.3).
