I'm not sure whether this is pure spam or if you have an issue attaching a document to the ticket (may be the spam filter is rejecting your attachment).

Anyway, no need to create 3 tickets for the same request.

Maybe you can describe the enhancement you'd like to see in plain text, this would probably be easier to read and comment than with an attached file.

There's not enough information here, but as eblot said it's better to enter your comments in the description than attach a separate spec. This sounds like it's either been filed on wrong the Trac site, or it may be related to the WorkFlow in which case you should see the existing tickets for that. If this is a valid ticket for Trac which is not related to WorkFlow please reopen the ticket with a comment describing the specific changes you'd like to see.

Would appreciate some help with this. It's difficult to know the level of detail required in the spec/how best to explain the enhancement. Can I provide a high level view of the chnages required and follow this up a meeting with the developer?.

Well, at this point it's not even clear you're targeting the development of Trac itself, or the one of a different project (as we frequently get some tickets here created by people mistaking this Trac for another…)

By only looking at the summary (as that's all what you've given so far), "Pre-Approval Helpdesk Changes", all we can say is that Trac is not primarily aimed at being a help desk system, though it can certainly be used in that way (tickets for support issues and wiki for knowledge management). The upcoming WorkFlow changes for 0.11 can be used to modify the default workflow for tickets, so that it could eventually accommodate a "Pre-Approval" step, whatever that means.

Change Properties
Set your email in Preferences
Action
as closed The owner will remain Jonas Borgström.
The resolution will be deleted. Next status will be 'reopened'.
to The owner will be changed from Jonas Borgström to the specified user.

Add Comment


E-mail address and name can be saved in the Preferences .
