Description

After upgrading to 0.10b1 using trac-0.10b1.win32.exe I can see that the wiki page TracTickets contains a link to:

http://projects.edgewall.com/trac/attachment/wiki/TracTickets/Trac%20Ticket%20State%20Chart%2020060603DF.png?format=raw

I am missing a local graphic file since I work mostly offline from the internet.

(I think if you install trac, the doc shoulb be almost complete without need for a direct internet connection)

The install process for Trac isn't designed to install attachments to the default wiki pages. It may be possible to put it in the "htdocs" folder instead. At the very least the URL should be updated to the current location on trac.edgewall.org.

Yes, I think that's a good idea; in future releases, we could greatly enhance the TracGuide to make it more "visual".

Maybe we could create a docs or guide subfolder in source:trunk/htdocs, to differentiate this kind of image from those used for the UI?

So nobody speaks against a new trunk/htdocs/guide folder?

Oh, matt just helped me realize that for being able to link to such file, we would probably need to expand the htdocs: links so that we're actually able to refer to that picture.

I'll see later what we can do about this.

Milestone: 0.10.50.11

I've just updated the TracTickets page to remove this diagram (version 44) - it now lives in TracWorkflow in its new form, and this page fetches graphics from installed htdocs.

So, I suppose the ticket can be closed as 'fixed' once we migrate the next round of wiki changes to the repos for 0.11 release.

This reminds me I wanted to create a htdocs/docs subfolder for putting those pictures. What do you think?

comment:9 by osimons, 17 years ago

htdocs/docs (or guide) is fine by me.

Resolution: fixed
Status: newclosed

htdocs/guide is perfect. Done in r6580.

Oh, I forgot: a trac-admin <env> wiki upgrade is now needed for those who already had a TracWorkflow page installed!
