The ticket emails should provide a link directly to the comment.

Original request:

If the description contains links like #123, [456], [wiki:TracGuide] or even TracGuide, these should be expanded to clickable links or listed at the end of the notification to prevent clobbering up the message.

The notification email already contains a link to the ticket.

I'm not sure whether adding extra links at the end of the notification email brings some added value or not. It would be a nice feature if the ticket notifications were sent using HTML - so that URLs can be added where a link appear in the message body. As long as we use plain text, the only location to put these links are close to the ticket link itself.

It should at least contain a link to the specific comment. This is especially usefull if you have a ticket with many comments. Clicking on the link takes you to the top of the ticket and you hav to scroll down to find the comment you are looking for.

So it would be usefull to have all comments marked with named anchors and that the link to the ticket in the notification email contains the link to this named anchor

I've changed the description to reflect the change in scope of this ticket. The other portion about expanding Wiki links should be addressed in #2625 with HTML emails.

Modify Ticket

Change Properties
Set your email in Preferences
as closed The owner will remain Jonas Borgström.
The resolution will be deleted. Next status will be 'reopened'.
to The owner will be changed from Jonas Borgström to the specified user.

Add Comment

E-mail address and name can be saved in the Preferences .
