Description
When running tracd on it's own without Apache, htdigest is not available to create htdigest files. Adding something like trac-admin add user would be great!

My patch on #287 actually includes the necessary methods for editing htdigest files. I'll look at making a little command-line wrapper for those methods.

A utility script is now available for tracd. See TracStandalone#GeneratingPasswordsWithoutApache

Maybe we could place this utility in the /contrib folder, so that people getting the package and having no access to the web can have it too?

Yep, that seems like a good idea.

Yeah, sorry for the delay, but I am planning on including a script like this.

Ok, I've added a script to /contrib in r4388 and 4389 which works like the standard htdigest utility. It accepts the same arguments and options, and can update passwords in existing htdigest files.
Clarifying the summary. Also removing the 0.8.2 milestone since that's only a bugfix release.
This would probably be a separate utility rather than a trac-admin command since it doesn't operate specifically on a Trac environment, but on a separate file.
