Port Self update fails on the Mac OSX Mavericks

I am trying to uninstall the geany and its dependencies.
I did the following command.
sudo port uninstall geany. I am planning to use something more standard like sublime.
However, I realized later that this has not deleted the dependencies associated with geany like x11, gtk, etc. When I was trying to remove the x11, etc. It showed me the error that port needs self update. The port self update fails here.
Here is the entire log.
