Description

I have installed fresh copy of Trac 0.11 (Ubuntu package). Everything works fine except roadmap part where I can't add, edit or delete milestones even as an trac admin. Any clue? Thanks

Found nothing that might be related in the past tickets… Can you give us more information, perhaps? Anything in the logs in debug mode?

Anyway, 0.11 is quite old and not supported anymore. You should at least upgrade to 0.11.7, and unless you have a serious reason to avoid it (want to stick with Python 2.4 for example), you should upgrade to Trac 0.12.2.

I did once manual upgrade to 0.12 but got into problems and I need to uninstall and put 0.11 back. Idk if there are some problems with Ubuntu version or so.

Also I'm not getting any trac.log files (logs are enabled).

I have installed TracMasterTickets 2.1.3 and I can add/delete/edit milestones through that plugin but only as TRAC_ADMIN :\

Also under About Trac I see this:

System Information Trac: 0.11 Python: 2.6.5 (r265:79063, Apr 16 2010, 13:28:26) [GCC 4.4.3]

but under Synaptic Package Manager I see:

trac - installed version: 0.11.7-1

I'm more confused now.

… and me then ;-)

Look, it's definitely an InstallationIssue. As you have Python 2.6 installed, the safest path forward would be really to upgrade to latest 0.12.2. As usual, start first without plugins, verify that it works, then add plugins one by one (upgrade them if necessary) and check that everything still works fine. If you have any specific issue with this upgrade, you can ask for help on the MailingList.

It's highly unlikely it's a real problem in Trac (at most, some trouble with a plugin), and only problems still present in 0.12 will be fixed.
