Wrong. Maybe you could do some research before creating new tickets?

Starting points: TracPermissions, IrcChannel, MailingList

I can understand the reporter's point of view. I too wished to delete a file mistakenly attached, but on the page in question, I only have buttons for 1. Edit this Page, 2. Attach file, 3. Delete this version, 4. Delete page. Having "Delete page" appear would seem to indicate I have the WIKI_DELETE privilege, so I too would be frustrated at wondering why a "Delete file" button does not appear.

Now in searching the Mailing list (as you so nicely provided the link), I found one must click the file to be deleted in order to have the "Delete attachment" button appear. While this arrangement works, it certainly is not intuitive to the novice user - it would be logical (I think) to have the "Delete attachment" appear on the same page as the "Attach file" button. Yes it will be more work, for the next page will have to prompt user for which file to delete, but usually making things easier for the user does require a wee bit more encoding.

If nothing else, it would help if the WIKI_DELETE privilege available on TracPermissions had additional verbiage indicating what GUI widget is supposed to appear (and where) when the privilege is granted to a user.

So my question is this - could I (myself) update the Track project information to improve the documentation associated with the above issue? Sorry, I don't have time to research that question myself at this point in time.
