Description
I saw #7022 and while that would be great, it's more ambitious than our needs. We just want to be able to put reports in some useful order without needing to edit the database.
We don't so much care about the number - we don't use it. We'd be thrilled to have an option to sort the available reports by name.

This is implemented on trunk, just click on the "Title" column heading. You can also make this the default by changing the URL for the "View Tickets" menu item.

Re-opening. "sort by name" happened to be what the OP wanted, so the fact that you can choose between "query number" and "name" sorting happened to be good enough for the OP, but it's not going to be enough for everyone. I've just been setting up a fairly customized trac instance for the Fedora Badges project - https://fedorahosted.org/fedora-badges - and because we worked out the proposal workflow on the fly, the reports are ending up in a pretty messy order. What I really want is to be able to arrange them in approximately 'workflow order', which is not something you can programmatically sort for, it's just something I need to stick in there row-by-row (or by renumbering, I don't mind fixing links to the numbered reports). The original ticket summary describes what I'd like pretty well: "(Arbitrarily) Reorder/renumber available reports". Thanks!

That would be relatively easy to do, and I'm not too enthusiastic about #7022, so yes, why not?
