Could not install Ubuntu 9.04 (32-bit)

Description

It seems that Ubuntu 9.04 cannot be installed on Virtual Box 2.2.2 r 46594 (installed on Win 2008 Server).

It was noted that installations of the software packages failed during the installation (e.g. samba server)

After the installation completed (without a boot loader), a black screen came up, and, that is all I could see, even when I tried to reset (Machine > Reset)

Maybe the UI doesn't load or the display driver is not automatically detected by the installer.

Modify Ticket

Change Properties
Set your email in Preferences
Action
as closed The ticket will remain with no owner.
The resolution will be deleted. Next status will be 'reopened'.
to The owner will be changed from (none) to the specified user.

Add Comment
E-mail address and name can be saved in the Preferences .
