Description

I use emacs-w3m text browser usually all day, except when needing to use Trac, to report a bug.

So then I fire up Firefox, with Javascipt etc. else trac is no fun to use.

All is well, except when of all the trac sites, I visit the trac's trac itself, http://trac.edgewall.org/.

Whereupon Firefox gets a load of ads down its Javascipt throat, just what I want to avoid!

OK, looking into WWWOFFLE etc. filter alternatives. But just wanted to let you know.

Not sure to understand what you're looking for through this ticket.

Basic Trac features should work w/o Javascript. I just tried to create a ticket with Lynx for example, and it seemed ok. Which feature does not work for you?

On the other hand, what's your point about ads?

Resolution: wontfix
Status: newclosed

I want to enjoy full track features, not just basic, so I turned on javascript.

But at the same time I don't want my browser browsing to unexpected 3rd party sites.

OK, I suppose that is how you make your money.

OK, I will turn off javascript for your site.

Maybe you should try the Firefox extensions NoScript and/or Adblock Plus.
