Description

I have just installed the latest version of Trac and am trying to set it up and evaluate it. So far I am able to login with an admin account that I gave TRAC_ADMIN permissions to.

The problem is when I try to create a new ticket I get the "Missing or invalid form token. Do you have cookies enabled?" error message. Have looked thru the previously reported issues but didn't see one that fit my situation.

I'm evaluating the product on a Windows XP machine using IE 7.0 as the browser. Running the "C:\Python25\Scripts\tracd-script.py -p 8000 —auth=bugdb,C:\bugdb\digest.txt,trac c:\bugdb" command for the webserver.

Can you tell me why I can't create a new ticket and am getting this error? Thanks for your help.

Mike

Why don't you search for a similar error message before filing in a new ticket?
If you type the exact same phrase "Missing or invalid form token. Do you have cookies enabled" you'll get many hits.

There are many duplicates, and you probably want to read NewTicketGuidelines

I had done what you suggested before I submitted the ticket. There didn't seem to be any case or solution for my type of configuration running under Windows. I've already spent a few hours looking at the problem and could use some help. Could you please tell me why I might receive this error and possible solutions.

Best regards,

Mike

Hmmmm…. looks like I found the problem. It is that you need to set the browser history refresh to "Every time I visit the web page" in IE 7 Browsing History Settings.
