Description
When starting any virtual machine (either bootable iso image or vdi file) in VirtualBox any version on Ubuntu 8.04 there is only black screen displayed and the VM doesn't start at all. In 1.6.x vesrions we could see a gray background when it's stopped, in 2.0 it's all black. In another words, VirtualBox is installed from deb package successfully but ain't working

I have same problem. Debian SID, 2.6.30 rc4 and rc5 kernel )i tested both) virtualbox doesn't start, just shows a black screen, and heavy load on hdd. When i kill virtualbox process, hdd is going to idle. Under 2.6.27 kernel and same system, everything is ok. Google is not my friend.

Well, maybe you actually find some help for virtualbox if you go to look at their site: http://www.virtualbox.org
