Authentication information not available

I am in the process of migrating a trac installation for our group to a different server. About the environment:

1. The new server is running trace-0.10.3 [for Debian]
2. and the old server is running on 0.9.6-3.
3. tarred up /var/trac/ from old server and extracted on the new server

And restarted the web server ; when I try to login, the error message is :
