Description
I had the problem after adding attachments I lost my other changes to the ticket: either I had to click the back button in my browser twice or go to the ticket again (now with attachments) and add other changes.
Wouldn't it be better in a ticket after adding an attachment to go back to the ticket view and be able to either click "Submit changes" or "Cancel" as usual (including the fresh attachement)??

Ok but how do I go back to my ticket view after adding the attachment? Maybe you can prompt to first commit the ticket changes? Anyway, thanks for answering, maybe I'm the only one having problems with this.

From the page that shows up once the file has successfully been attached, click on the "Ticket #nnnn", which is a link to the ticket.

The ticket link works, but is not very obvious until you've used Trac a while. One easy fix is to add a "Return to ticket #…" link.

… add a "Return to ticket #…" link.
Ok, this could be an up link.

Our users are having the same problems when they add an attachment and then lose their comments.
Whilst a link to return to the ticket will help (as long as the comments that were already entered are kept!), it would be much more user friendly if Trac could somehow prompt to first commit any ticket changes before attaching an attachment.
P.S. There is no "Ticket #nnnn" link on the page once the file has been attached so the only way back to the ticket is to hit the back button twice.

The reason why we're not doing that is because we don't want to upload the attachment when doing a Preview.
