#3719 closed enhancement (duplicate)

Add button 'Add new milestone' to page displaying a specific milestone

Description

It would ease milestone management if the button was present not only in roadmap page but also in page displaying a specific milestone. It happens very frequently that you both want to display/modify an existing milestone and then create a new one, leading to unnecessary button clics.

Milestone: 0.10.50.12

Maybe similar actions than we have for the reports would be useful (Add - this ticket and Copy - ticket #4583).

For quick entry, 0.11b1+ also adds the 'Milestones' admin page. Is is much more rational for multiple edits. Isn't that a good enough alternative? Can we close as 'wontfix'?

As for me as the original reporter, I think this is basically equal. I didn't have time to look 0.11 yet…

Milestone: 0.12
Resolution: duplicate
Status: newclosed

I think we should keep at least the idea of Copy (i.e. #4583), which seems to be quite useful to me. Once we have copy, adding is for free as you'll just have to clear the copied content and start from scratch if you want.

So I think we should consolidate this ticket with #4583.

I completely agree. In fact, most of the time when I create a new milestone, I do a copy/paste of an older one… This is a more general solution, clearly.
