Using letters like 'ö' in a ticket or user name description crushes nearly the whole trac system

Description

If letters like 'ö' are added to the MySQL database (for example in the user settings), or in a ticket, it is not possible to view the tickets anymore. That means it is easily possible to kill the entire Trac system.

Please include the stack trace and also information such as the default character set you've configured for MySQL.

We should make it clearer in the docs that only the databases using the UTF-8 charsets are currently working.

Modify Ticket

Change Properties
Set your email in Preferences
Action
as closed The owner will remain Jonas Borgström.
The resolution will be deleted. Next status will be 'reopened'.
to The owner will be changed from Jonas Borgström to the specified user.

Add Comment
E-mail address and name can be saved in the Preferences .
