Can't attach binary files to tickets

Description

When trying to attach a screenshot of a defect in action, I get a stacktrace complaining that the first byte of the file isn't valid unicode. Trac either shouldn't care what the format of attachments are, or it should fall back to treating the file as a binary, rather than a text file.

Can you:

  • post that stacktrace
  • try to see what happens with 0.10 (e.g. by attaching that screenshot here)

The attachments work for 0.10, and no stacktrace after 5 months. Please reopen if the problem reoccurs and you have a stacktrace.

Change Properties
Set your email in Preferences
Action
as closed The owner will remain Jonas Borgström.
The resolution will be deleted. Next status will be 'reopened'.
to The owner will be changed from Jonas Borgström to the specified user.

Add Comment


E-mail address and name can be saved in the Preferences .
