Make assign-to field a popup

Description

It's easy to forget the usernames or misspell one. When that happens, assignment fails to cause email notifications and tickets languish. A popup menu or combo box would help avoid that.

Isn't it time to make this behavior default (or at least add it to WebAdmin)? IMHO, this enhancement request comes up very often.

The option is documented (RTFM… ;-)), and the drop down list does not fit well the needs for open source projects.

+1 for a WebAdmin option.

I'd rather see us using one of those AJAX auto-completion widgets. Provides for both lookup of existing users, and free input.

Change Properties
Set your email in Preferences
Action
as closed The owner will remain Jonas Borgström.
The resolution will be deleted. Next status will be 'reopened'.
to The owner will be changed from Jonas Borgström to the specified user.

Add Comment


E-mail address and name can be saved in the Preferences .
