Description
Currently if you wish to download your tickets for a specific project in Ical format that can be read using Mac's Ical (which is what I use). Often I write tickets with no specific milestone on gamedev.acm.cs.rpi.edu and I would like them in the same format as all my other tickets. My request is that the feature enabling me to download milestones to Ical be implimented on the ticket system.

He probably meant list of tickets obtained through a TicketQuery…
Thinking about this, I wonder whether the /milestone
URL couldn't be used a "special" milestone, i.e. a "milestone like" view over the tickets which have no milestone…

I'm still confused. Exporting into iCal format makes sense only if there are dates assigned. In the case of unassigned tickets, there is no milestone and no date for iCal.
One workaround he could use is to create a default milestone for all "unassigned" tickets..

Tickets are output as VTODO items which don't need a date. VTODOs correspond to a "task" or "todo" list, so the items may have due dates, but it's not required. The Roadmap "ics" format already lists tickets where the milestone has no due date.
The Roadmap ics could also list tickets with no milestone. However, it may need limited to only show closed tickets within the past X days, since otherwise tickets closed with no milestone would be in the ics forever.

IIUC, this ticket corresponds to a request for having an iCal alternate format for the custom query view, where tickets are exported as VTODOs.

I'm not sure I understand what iCal has to do with the tickets. Milestones have specific dates, but tickets don't have that type of information. Do you want the timeline for tickets exported in iCal format?
