Viewing changeset diffs side-by-side wraps long lines

Description

When viewing a changeset, if a diff has a long line then the line gets wrapped to the next line. Only happens when using the "side by side" option. The "inline" option works fine and does not wrap lines.

This makes it very hard to read source code changes. Please can you turn wrapping off, or at least add an option to let me turn it off myself.

You can use CSS to override the default wrapping behavior.

And please don't target a new ticket to a bugfix release milestone that is due the same day. Thanks.

cboos, it sounds like the changes you made for #1420 are relevant to this ticket as well. Can it also be closed?

Yes, I tried without (r4156) and with (r4157) wrapping for the side-by-side mode. The former is not acceptable by default, as you have the long lines from the left side being overlapped by the corresponding lines from the right side.

With the wrapping, the diffs are quite readable, IMHO.

Action
as closed The owner will remain Jonas Borgström.
The resolution will be deleted. Next status will be 'reopened'.
to The owner will be changed from Jonas Borgström to the specified user.

Add Comment
E-mail address and name can be saved in the Preferences .
