#2850 closed defect (worksforme)

Session recovery doesn't work if path cookie has been deleted

Description

On the settings panel it is possible to set preferences (username, email) also for anonymous or better not logged in users.

There's also a possibility to recover a session when you enter your session key (also a customized one).

The key seems to be stored in a path cookie, right?

When you delete this cookie, it is not possibile to recover it with the given function.

I've created a session called "pschulz" on this server - you can test it if you want.

Well, that session doesn't seem to exist on this server anymore, but I've tested it and it works for me:

  • add my settings & change the session key
  • delete the trac_session cookie
  • check that settings are gone
  • use "Load Session" and the settings are back

Milestone: 0.10

There was a bug in the session loading that I fixed in [3443]. So this'll be fixed in 0.10.

(I'm not sure whether that bug existed in 0.9.x, actually… it may have been introduced with Jonas' session refactorings)
