Description
The idea would be to have a more detailed (thus useful) roadmap page, displaying the Gantt and Pert diagrams of the project.
It would require having the roadmaps to have dependancies, from which the diagram would be built.
The goal is to be able to track efficiently how well the project is doing, and to know precisely where the war effort has to be directed. I am well aware that #364 already proposed to improve everything, but still, gantt diagrams are built with dependancies on the modules. As for pert diagrams, the idea is that it produces a real graph of dependancies with costs, thus really showing what needs to be done and at what rythm.

Milestone: | 0.9.5 |

Please do not set a milestone on your own, especially if you do not provide the implementation for such a feature. Moreover 0.9.5 will be a bug fix-only release, so there is no way your request could be implemented for this milestone.
As a personal side note, I think this kind of feature should better be implemented as a plugin anyway.

As of now, trac is mostly useless for project management purposes, it mostly just works as a report tool. cause the management itself has to be done with external software.
Gantts that atleast would update timeline when the project slips would be awesome.. at the moment with the Gantt plugin, you can only show an "estimate" schedule, which could easily be printed on a piece of paper.
because when a task slips, the whole project is out of date, and you have to update each ticket's due_to_start and due_to_end dates by hand..
that's just the most critical problem with efficient use of trac in project management and i doubt it will ever become one.
i've tried to use trac in project management but it turned out to lack too much features and you end up making everything way too complicated.
so, my suggestion is that you just use trac the way it's supposed to, yet another issue/bug reporting tool :)

I agree with you, that gantt plugin needs to improve some stuffs. It needs a slip task to change the due_to_end date, but its scheduled to the next release. I think Trac is a very good and simple program, and i'm using it here as a project management tool. But each one needs something else in it so, its good we can change this tool we can improve this tool. And every body can use it better.

If we get milestone dependencies… maybe.

You could install TracGantt to use Gantt charts with your Trac installation. I'm not aware of a pert plugin, though.
