Description
Please make it easier to install Trac:
- don't require root privileges
- make it possible to install only one module (repository viewer or ticket tracking or wiki, etc)
- don't require shell access
These changes would make installing Trac on varoius hosting providers' accounts much easier.

Note:
See TracTickets
for help on using tickets.
Root privileges are not required. There are instructions for installing Trac to an alternate prefix.
The core modules can be disabled in the config and if you want to disable them by default for all projects see #1051 and [2335] regarding global configuration.
I really don't see any way that Trac could be installed without shell access. It may be possible to install some PHP-based applications with just FTP access, but there's no reasonable way to do this for Trac. There's a good chance that if you're using a low-end host without shell access that essential software like Python won't be installed either, so I think you'll encounter many other barriers to installing Trac.
