The filter is added after it is selected in the drop-down. The add button is only displayed when JavaScript is not available.

JavaScript is not available.

Did you mean 'IS available' ?

I couldn't see 'add' button because I hadn't loaded all the page - I've stopped it loading cause it is quite big by default ("all not-closed tickets").

So, this ticket should be - "Do not show all open tickets in custom query by default".

No, I meant is not available. If you have JavaScript, and the JavaScript stuff has been loaded, simply selecting a filter from the drop-down will add that filter.

That said, if you cancel the loading of the page, the JavaScript code necessary to do that will not have been loaded. It would probably be a good idea to load it earlier in the page.

If the query page shouldn't show all open tickets by default, what should it display by default? I think providing a list of open issues makes a lot of sense. Note that if you are authenticated, you only get those tickets that are assigned to you. And if you set your name and/or email address on the settings page, you only get those issues where your email or name is in the CC list.

what should it display by default

I think that should be configurable through TracIni. It is ok to show all opened tickets by default, the main problem that I must wait until the entire page is loaded to use custom query.
