Description
LS,
On http://trac.edgewall.org/wiki/TracInstall#CreatingaProjectEnvironment there is the mention of using trac optionally with subversion. But it is not clear (to me) what kind of interaction is meant. I believe there are 2 types possible:
- Use subversion for storing trac data like pages
- Use trac to read (?) a local subversion repo of a project
I believe option 2 is meant on the install pages. But it is not clearly stated. I also found the explanation how to get trac to work with svn not clear enough. There is mention of python bindings, but no clear explanation how to install them, only a link to an apache page.
I think, I'm missing something to make trac work with svn. I saw somewhere an example of a trac install where the installer asks about svn. Unfortunately, when I installed trac, I was not asked to provide any data about possible svn repositories (which I have running fine).

It's 2. and it's not ambiguous as 1. is not supported (yet; see #1132).
As Remy said, if you think you can make the documentation clearer, feel free to edit the corresponding page(s).
The initial setup of a repository was removed since Trac can now allow browsing more than one repository. You can set up repositories in the "Repositories" admin panel.
About the documentation, please feel free to suggest improvements, or better, to add your improvements directly to the relevant pages. The documentation is a wiki, and has already benefited from many edits from users like you.
