Description
Trac should support the submission of new tickets, and the addition of comments to existing tickets, by email. This would be a much more convenient interface for many users than any web frontend.

No, I didn't miss it, I opened this ticket as a direct result of it. In #10051 you said that the trac.edgewall.org admins wouldn't install an add-on to handle email. I made such a request to <info@…> (the only email address I could find for the trac.edgewall.org admins) before seeing your reply, and you could reasonably say "you missed my reply" in reply to that.
This ticket, #10053, is a feature request for Trac, asking that Trac be enhanced to support email submission out-of-the-box. It's not asking for any exception in how trac.edgewall.org is administered, it's asking for an addition to the base Trac software. If Trac did support this out-of-the-box, then presumably trac.edgewall.org would use it, and it would be easier for other Trac instances to support email submission too.

Duplicate of #250, then.
I supposed you missed my reply in #10051.
