v15 v16 47 47 * [-] Integration with other VC systems should be a very low priority compared to creating a feature-rich system based on SVN. SVN is, of course, open source and free. CVS doesn't have the sophistication required to support all wiki features (e.g. you can't rename files...). Let's not get bogged down with the lowest common denominator. (dave@daveboden.com) 48 48 2. As workaround, a macro can include SVN files into wiki contents ([http://lists.edgewall.com/archive/trac/2004-August/000626.html François Harvey], [http://lists.edgewall.com/archive/trac/2004-August/000627.html Mario Ruggier], [http://lists.edgewall.com/archive/trac/2004-August/000628.html François Harvey]). 49 * [-] This doesn't allow SVN files to be edited via the wiki. Also you still have 50 two different repositories (SVN and wiki) to backup. 49 * [-] This doesn't allow SVN files to be edited via the wiki. Also you still have two different repositories (SVN and wiki) to backup. 51 50 3. Trac heavily depends on SQLite and SQL ([http://lists.edgewall.com/archive/trac/2004-August/000603.html Jonas Borgström]). 52 51 * [-] There is no reason why Trac should'nt store "transient" data in a regular database. Such database would be required anyway, because some features of Trac need indexing for fast searching. Valuable non-transient data should stored in a version controlled repository (haui at haumacher.de).
