Edit side-by-side
= Installing Trac on FreeBSD = Kuei-Feng Li, Rui Lopes and Pav Lucistnik kindly [http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/query-pr.cgi?pr=ports/65690 added] Trac to the [http://www.freebsd.org/ FreeBSD] ports collection. For more information: * http://www.freebsd.org/ports/ * http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/cvsweb.cgi/ports/www/trac/ = Having trouble using the ports ? = You may have to use some additional ports from [http://www.freshports.org freshports]. I found these ones useful: * [http://www.freshports.org/devel/subversion-python subversion-python] * [http://www.freshports.org/www/clearsilver-python clearsilver-python] * [http://www.freshports.org/www/clearsilver clearsilver] Just add them to your /usr/ports tree before using the trac port mentioned above. Note that downloading and installing separate ports is not officially supported by [http://www.freebsd.org/ FreeBSD], and will often cause problems. You should always update the entire ports tree with cvsup and portupgrade in order to install some latest new port(s). --DanielRoethlisberger As of May 26th, 2004, the above are all installed as dependencies by the port, EXCEPT for plain old clearsilver. [[BR]] At trac 0.6.1. I had to specify the actual db file and not the directory. trac-admin /usr/local/trac/htdocs/trac.db initdb also I had to use initdb not initenv from the docs. That's not specific to [http://www.freebsd.org/ FreeBSD], that's specific to trac versions prior to 0.7. --DanielRoethlisberger
