Some points here: the content area width is set to a fixed width to improve readability. The ticket page looks really silly (IMHO) if the width is unconstrained and the available horizontal space is large.

On the other hand, the fixed width severely limited the usability of the ticket page when the the available horizontal space was actually smaller than the fixed width. This particular problem has been addressed in the changesets [959], [979] and [1000]. At the end, the ticket will never be wider than the available horizontal space, but will also not grow beyond a width of 700px.

I'm going close this ticket as fixed, please reopen if you see issues with this approach, or you think the original issue has not actually been resolved by the changes made.

The resolution will be deleted. Next status will be 'reopened'.
