Description

I did build Trac 0.12b1 packages for openSUSE 11.2 and installed them on a server. Nearly everthing works as expected, but I don't get the locale stuff working. And there is really no indication what can be the cause.

I get following when loading a website

2010-05-06 17:24:24,758 Trac[main] DEBUG: Dispatching <Request "GET '/timeline'">
2010-05-06 17:24:24,762 Trac[session] DEBUG: Retrieving session for ID u'stoecker'
2010-05-06 17:24:24,763 Trac[main] DEBUG: Negotiated locale: [u'de'] -> de

This means the locale de is detected and also the locale system is loaded (or this message wouldn't appear).

The outputs on the other hand are still in English.

Help welcome how to fix this, but the general bug is the missing error indication. I do not know any further way to find out what is missing or wrong.

The only "Distribution Not Found" in log is SilverCity≥0.9.4.

At least in DEBUG level the trac.log should contain an indication whats wrong here.

Did run

./setup.py compile_catalog

to create the messages.mo file?

Right, this should be automated, see #9291.
