[svlc linux] Cannot change skins

Description
I am using vlc 0.9.5, under mandriva linux. With this version, it is impossible to change skins. After selecting the new skins through the interface menu, the following message appears in a terminal:

The skin files are present in /usr/share/vlc/skins2. The bug shows up with the skins provided by the mdv package, but also if I download the skin files directly from the videolan website.
