Ticket previewing hides 'New' status

Description

When previewing an edited ticket, if the 'Action' field is set to a resolution (resolve as…), the leave as new option simply disappears.

This means that once the resolve as… option has been previewed, it is not possible to revert back to the leave as new option without losing any other changes, such as comments.

This must have been fixed at some point, as I can't reproduce it here. I just set the resolution to worksforme and hit "Preview", and the "leave as new" option is still available.

I just found this previouslt closed ticket after experiencing the same issue in trac 0.11.1. In my instance, I was editing a new ticket. After setting the resolution to "fixed" and previewing, I decided that I needed to leave as "new" instead. However, the first optoion on the "actions" menu changes from "leave as new" to "leave as closed". The options under the "resolve as" radio button remain the same ("fixed, invalid, wontfix, duplicate, worksforme", none of which will leave the status as new). There appears to be no way to set the status back to new without closing the page and reopenining (since there is also no cancel button).

However, I was unable to duplicate this on the Trac 0.11 demo site here: http://trac.edgewall.org/demo-0.11

I am not sure where the difference is.

This is exactly what I meant in comment:1: no way to reproduce the issue with current 0.11 means the issue has been fixed at some point. You should upgrade to 0.11.7.

Modify Ticket

Change Properties
Set your email in Preferences
Action
as closed The ticket will remain with no owner.
The resolution will be deleted. Next status will be 'reopened'.
to The owner will be changed from (none) to the specified user.

Add Comment


E-mail address and name can be saved in the Preferences .
