Is there a way to count the number of comments for each thread and output a log?

Description

I am a user support analyst and would like to track the relative difficulty of the user support tickets. As one metric, I'd like to know how many comments are in a certain thread. I know that I can do this manually, but is there a way to find out this information through Trac or by some type of plugin?
