Wrong Display of #mainnav in Opera 7.54

Reported by: mail@… Owned by: jonas

Severity: trivial Keywords: opera layout

Description

The Problem is the IE comment hack to display the inline Navigationelements in the #mainnav css id (trac.css). Opera displays it as "block" not as inline. So it is displayed as shown in the image

I do not know why you used the hack, but from my point of view it is not necessary

Changed 4 years ago by cmlenz

  • keywords opera layout added; Browser CSS Opera removed
  • resolution set to duplicate
  • status changed from new to closed
  • component changed from browser to general
  • summary changed from Wrong Display of TRAC #mainnav in Opera 7.54 to Wrong Display of #mainnav in Opera 7.54
  • This is a known problem, see #371 and #575.
  • It has nothing to do with the IE comment hack AFAIK. The hack just hides the setting of display: block on IE5/Mac, which would otherwise completely screw up the page layout.
  • I have not found or heard of a good solution for this problem yet. Note that reversing the order of the nav items is not an option (see #372).
  • The previews of Opera 7.6 show that this problem (and many others) have been fixed by the Opera folks.
