0.10.5 is a security and bug fix release which fix a few important issues and everyone is recommended to upgrade their installations. See ChangeLog for details.

Notes:

• The Trac installer no longer includes the ClearSilver library; it needs to be installed separately. You can find binaries at ​http://www.clearsilver.net/downloads/ or ​http://clearsilver.yi.org/.
• Pysqlite 2.4.0 won't work with Trac 0.10.4. You either need to use 0.10.5dev or Pysqlite ​2.3.5.

Trac 0.12dev

The latest revision for the ​trunk version of Trac (currently 0.12dev) can be checked out with the following command:

svn co http://svn.edgewall.org/repos/trac/trunk trac

Or with encryption:

svn co https://svn.edgewall.org/repos/trac/trunk trac

Trac 0.11-stable

The latest revision for the stable version of Trac 0.11 (currently still Trac 0.11.1dev) can be checked out from the ​0.11-stable branch with the following command:

svn co http://svn.edgewall.org/repos/trac/branches/0.11-stable 0.11dev

Installation can be performed as usual, using for example the following command:

cd 0.11dev
python setup.py install

Alternatively, you can directly "easy-install" the latest stable version from the repository:

easy_install http://svn.edgewall.org/repos/trac/branches/0.11-stable

easy_install is a script provided by the SetupTools.

Trac 0.10-stable

The latest revision for the stable version of Trac 0.10 (currently Trac 0.10.6dev) can be checked out with the following command:

svn co http://svn.edgewall.org/repos/trac/branches/0.10-stable 0.10.6dev

For installing this version, we recommend that you choose some well visible place (e.g. /opt/trac-0.10.6dev), and override the PYTHONPATH environment variable (or PythonPath path directive for mod_python) by preprending the /opt/trac-0.10.6dev/lib/python2.4/site-packages path (replace 2.4 by the Python version that you actually use). That way, you minimize the risk of interferences with the packaged Trac version you probably already have.

cd 0.10.6dev
python setup.py install --prefix=/opt/trac-0.10.6dev

then:

export PYTHONPATH=/opt/trac-0.10.6dev/lib/python2.4/site-packages:$PYTHONPATH

or, in your httpd.conf:

<Location /projects/myproject>
  ...
  PythonPath "['/opt/trac-0.10.6dev/lib/python2.4/site-packages'] + sys.path"
  ...
</Location>

Miscellaneous

If you already had existing checkouts for svn.edgewall.com, no need to redo the checkouts, you can simply relocate your working copies:

svn switch --relocate http://svn.edgewall.com http://svn.edgewall.org
