!GitHub is a [wikipedia:Git] repository hosting service currently owned by [https://www.microsoft.com Microsoft]:

The service has become the standard for software developers, whether it is open-source or proprietary licensed. Some of its features inspired further developments on Trac over the years, and spawned for example #2035.

Note that we maintain an official Git mirror of the SubversionRepository there, see [https://github.com/edgewall/trac edgewall/trac]. Also a number of plugins is hosted on this site, see [th:tags/github-hosted github-hosted plugins]. 

For work that requires more than a single changeset, or if you are simply more comfortable working with Git or Mercurial, it can be easier to stage the changes in a distributed repository fork.
