To lower the maintenance effort, it is a good idea to leverage buildout to manage Trac instances. Thus, an ongoing effort is made by the [http://pypi.python.org/pypi/pbp.recipe.trac pbp.recipe.trac] project to provide an easy mechanism to deploy and maintain Trac instances.
