Description (last modified by )
TracOnWindows is too complicated. It just got to be possible to describe how to run Trac on windows in less than 34 steps.
The average windows user will probably rather completely convert to Linux than following this long and overly complicated instruction.

Looks like mgood and cboos have done a lot of this work for the 0.10 release. See TracOnWindows/Rewrite.

Thanks for reminding us about the existence of this ticket. There's still the need to write something about the advanced setups, like using another DatabaseBackend, apache, etc.

Matt, OK to promote the rewrite to TracOnWindows itself?
We can still write a TracOnWindows/Advanced later on, with details about alternate frontends and backends.

I think so. The installation script needs updated to the current release of Trac and probably setuptools too, so I'll try to get that up to date first.

Ok, the TracOnWindows/Rewrite is now simply TracOnWindows. This covers installing Trac 0.10.
The old content of TracOnWindows, that applied to Trac 0.9, can now be found in Trac0.9/TracOnWindows.
Documentation for installing Trac 0.11 on Windows can currently be found in TracOnWindows/Python2.5.
Feisty :)
