Let's summarize and close the ticket, which is too "big" to be of any further usefulness, at this point.

The outcome of the various contributions to this ticket are numerous, thanks to all who have given feedback.

  • a lot of possible trouble with installation and configuration issues have been identified, refer to the TracPerformance checklist,
  • for Trac 0.11.6, a few improvements have been committed, mainly r8644:8645, which should help to reduce startup time, and [8795] which should help detect excessive environment restarts

Please leave this ticket closed, rather follow-up on #8813- Trac 0.11 really slow, high cpu usage (continued) .

    110Since I switched to trac 0.11 my trac is really slow. I've tried some performance improvements but none of them is sufficient. Looking through the log file I've noticed the performance problem occurs in the step "Prepare chrome data for request":
