Description

The Bronx has a population of about 1.5 million residents packed into 42 square miles. It's the northernmost borough of New York City. During 1900-1929, the Bronx experienced a huge population growth.

After World War II, the number of incoming residents declined. Craigslist Bronx is filled with fun activities for tourists. It's a fantastic place to visit during your vacation to New York City.

Bronx Zoo

The Bronx Zoo should be at the top of your list of things to do in Bronx. The zoo has over 4,000 animals of 650 different species. Many of these animals are endangered species. The zoo is rather large, using up 265 acres, and is the world's largest metropolitan zoo. If you're visiting New York City with children or if you find animals interesting, the zoo is an ideal attraction.

There are several exhibits at the Bronx Zoo, but the three most popular are probably the Wild Asia Monorail, Congo Gorilla Forest, and Jungle World. In these three exhibits, you'll see gorillas, monkeys, giraffes, pythons, lions, zebras, and gazelles.

The animals are in the spotlight, but the environments the animals live in are also interesting. They'll all be in their replicated natural habitat. For example, the gorillas in Congo Gorilla Forest will be living in a habitat that's identical to a rain forest covering almost 7 acres of land.

New York Botanical Garden

The New York Botanical Garden is a museum exhibiting plants, an educational program for its surrounding community, and a leading research center for plant science. Almost one million visitors come to see the gardens every year. Their 250 acres is covered with live plants, making up 50 unique gardens. It was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1967.

The garden is a peaceful and relaxing place that's also popular with New York residents. On the site, you'll find waterfalls, untouched forests, greenhouses, Victorian architecture, rock gardens, rose gardens, and over 7 million specimen of plants.

Yankee Stadium and the New York Yankees Museum

Are you a huge baseball fan? Then you'll be excited to know that the Yankee Stadium is in the Bronx, New York. It's a new stadium that opened in 2009. The old stadium was just across the street and shut down right after the new stadium opened.

This is where the Yankees practice and play their games. It's also the site for the New York Yankees Museum, where you'll find plenty of memorabilia. Most people visit just to see the Ball Wall. It's filled with baseballs signed by former and present Yankees.
