In addition to the basic processes mentioned, there are processes that have been further developed by the welding system manufacturers, but which in principle correspond to the processes mentioned. The most widespread of all is gas ​sheet metalwork arc welding, known as MIG metal inert gas welding and MAG metal active gas welding.

Welding is a mostly manual process. Ensure process security by specifying the welding positions, e.g. through tenons.
Have a robot weld as soon as the number of pieces allows.
Take your time and create detailed welding drawings on which the weld seams are precisely dimensioned and labeled.
In the case of series parts, ​custom race medals no minimum, and place value on a detailed sampling process. Especially when optics and/or distortion play an important role.
If you have to weld, at least try to place the welds in non-visible places to avoid subsequent grinding.
