Can I clean my rifle with brake cleaner?

Description

As stated by ​gun clp CRC Brakekleen and Remington Gun Scrubber are the first cleaners and scrubbers. Overnight soaking will make the metal flake off. However, since a little of this mixture goes a long way, use it cautiously. Keep that mix out of your eyes and off your skin as a precaution. Any of them, with the brake cleaner being the most potent and drying of the two, when sprayed directly on greasy residue, can remove it. Neither is very harsh on how most modern firearms are finished.
