Framework for Integrated Test

Extending the functionality of Trac means that also workflow for functional testing needs to be supported. A candidate approach is ​Ward Cunningham's excellent Framework for Integrated Test. Described in full at ​http://fit.c2.com/ and an implementation in Java on ​Sourceforge.

Does Trac plan to support FIT tests somehow? I guess that wouldn't fit (no pun intended) with the vision statement for 'core' Trac on the WikiStart page. There is already a request for a plugin doing this at ​http://trac-hacks.org/#VoteforaRequestaHack.

I think it would make sense to move further discussion of this to ​#81 (FIT tests in tickets) - Trac Hacks - Plugins, Macros, etc.
