It looks like
I think the 'wiki:' part should be removed. And it should look like:
The same is for ticket, if you do:

Is this problem still valid or have these issues been resolved in previous releases?
.. trac:: wiki:WikiFormatting
displays as WikiFormatting. It has the "wiki:" part stripped, which seems to be the point of this ticket.

Yes, the particular issue raised in this ticket seems to work now as requested, now.
But generally speaking, the TracLinks syntax has evolved quite a bit in the last year and the rst processor certainly needs to be updated.
E.g.
.. trac:: log:trunk@1234:2345
(it's interpreted as a wiki page name)
Sounds cool.
